Who we are

Information we collect

When you use the website or API, we may process technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser or client type, device information, requested pages, interactions, approximate location, timestamps, response details and identifiers used to distinguish a browser session.

When a bot or other client connects to the PriceDB WebSocket service, connection details are recorded. These may include the connecting IP address, socket identifier and user-agent or client information.

How and why we use information

We use analytics tools to understand how PriceDB is used and to support website development. We also use technical information to provide the website, API and WebSocket services; diagnose faults; measure performance; protect the service; enforce usage limits; and detect abuse, manipulation or security threats. Server logs are also used to investigate service failures, abuse and security incidents.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Retention is determined by operational, diagnostic, security and abuse-prevention needs; provider settings; the sensitivity of the information; and any legal obligations. Information that is no longer required is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable.
